Late Charge

Standard
Late charges for guests who have already checked-out, must be posted at the Front Desk. A copy of the final folio showing the late charge must be printed and attached to the registration card with other supporting documents. The Finance Department will assist in managing after departure guest folios.

Procedure

1. From time to time, guests may settle their accounts and leave the hotel before all charges have been posted to their account. E.g. the guest may check-out without declaring all minibar items consumed.

2. If a charge needs to be posted and the guest has already checked-out, verify the name, room number and guest signature.

Credit Card Late Charges:

è Post late charge onto the guest folio and charge the guest’s credit card.

è Print a new bill.

è Attach an explanation why you post late charges

è Send all supporting documents to the Finance Department.


Billing to Company Late Charge:

è Post the late charge onto the guest folio and check-out to City Ledger (AR number is needed)

è Enclose all supporting documents, including a copy of the registration card, and forward the bill to the Finance Department for settlement.

Cash Settlement Late Charge:

è Post the late charge onto the guest folio and check-out to C/L (AR number is needed)

è Enclose all supporting documents, including a copy of the registration card, and forward the bill to the Finance Department for settlement.


Minibar Late Charges below US$ XX:

è Minibar late charges have to be posted accordingly, however, if the charge is lower than US$ XX, the charge has to be rebated after it was posted.

è Guests who paid by credit card or the company was paying, will be late charged for the amount in question.
