Extension of stay

Standard

Requests for extensions of stays must be confirmed with reservation department prior to accepting.

Procedure

1. If a guest requests to extend the stay, the following must be verified:

è Is a room available for the requested number of nights?

è Which rate can be offered?

è Is the room allocated for someone else during the requested nights? If so, can another room be allocated to the arriving guest or does the in-house guest need to be asked to change rooms.

2. Confirm offered rate with reservations and confirm the room rate to the guest. Try to upsell the category!!

3. If the room is available, extend the stay in the computer.

4. Check the payment-method:

è Let the guest sign a voucher with the additional room charges

è Take copy of credit card or cash deposit


5. If the guest is due out on the day of the extension, inform Housekeeping and Cashier about the extended stay
