Standard :

Guest laundry service provided in Hotel.

Policy:

· Laundry is one of the services in international hotels that both bring about an considerable revenue for the hotel and offer guest with convenience.

· Laundry service usually includes hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry.

· Guest laundry – Room Attendant – Linen room – Guest., it’s always on time and carefully pick up, carefully wash or iron guest laundry at any time (no mistake is allowed in any circumstances).

· While picking up guest laundry, Room Attendant has to check carefully laundry, laundry list, room number, kind of request from guest (normal or express, laundry, dry cleaning or pressing) and the date of sending guest laundry.

· Pick up guest laundry only after the laundry list has been signed by the guest. It’s very important for their laundry service payment at the cashier counter.

· All R/A are not allowed to receive payment from guest for their laundry service.

Laundry list Form : (See table )

Procedures :



· Room Attendant checks room status/ Mini bar/ Laundry from 8:30 am to 9:00 am daily, (except DND rooms). If finding laundry in guestroom, R/A have to check any Laundry /Dry cleaning / Pressing on the price list attached and if it has been filled up by guest with guest’s signature.

· If a price list is found with guest signature, R/A can pick guest laundry out. If a price list is found without guest signature, R/A has to leave guest laundry under the price list without guest signature and try to ask about this.

· Room Attendant will bring guest laundry to the floor pantry. R/A must check whether there is any guest belonging left in clothes or any damage found, R/A has to inform to Supervisor at once when finding something in guest belonging.

· Room Attendant has to check each item of guest laundry by counting and writing down exactly the number at hotel counting column in the price list and check the guest’s request of cleaning condition: express or normal. If Express Service is required by guest, R/A has to inform Supervisor immediately for prior attention.



· Room Attendant marks the room number on the daily laundry collection record in pantry.

· Uniform & Linen Attendant will collect guest laundry from each floor pantry in accordance with the laundry collection record before noon time daily.

· Room Attendant double check the laundry in room before noon time or lunch time daily. Procedures for this is the same as Minibar checking.

· Uniform & Linen Attendant is responsible for final check of the guest laundry and then clean as usual.

· Uniform & Linen Attendant is responsible for sending guest laundry to the respective floor pantry after guest laundry is checked in quantity in accordance with terms of sending to clean.

· Room Attendant send guest laundry back to guest room accordingly.
