Clean guestrooms

Standard: To ensure that rooms are cleaned quickly with maximum cleanliness.

Procedures:

1. Attendants must check doors before entering rooms for double locked rooms and / or rooms with a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the knob.

2. Attendants must ring the door bell, knock on the door using their finger, not the keys, and announce themselves.

3. Attendants must greet guest with proper greetings: Good morning / Good afternoon or Good evening, and call guest by name whenever possible.

4. Check all lights, fixtures, equipment and furniture to ensure that they are in proper working order.

5. Adjust items as required.

6. Air out guest room while cleaning.

7. Remove all used room service, utilities, tray and / or trolleys.

8. Strip and replenish all linens, supplies and amenities as specified in room cleaning task breakdown.

9. Remove and return to assigned storage all special items requested by guest from check-out rooms.

10. For any Lost and Found item in check-out rooms, report immediately to the Supervisor or Housekeeping Office.

11. Never touch any valuable or breakable items that belong to guest. Never go through their personal belongings, such as suitcase, brief cases, etc.

Before leaving a room check overall appearance. Close the door and double check that the room door is locked and secured
